Summer Wine and more – our summer events

For our last two summer events for this year we have chosen the places where we will be able to enjoy also the beautiful outside, so we will spend a lot of time on the air. We all know that the enogastronomy is a product of people, earth, the culture of the territory so with our trips we want to make you understand and feel all together.
Saturday, 21st of August: KARST – BENJAMIN ZIDARICH & Co.
The day dedicated to the enogastronomy of the Karst will reach its highlight in the late afternoon when we will visit one of the most fascinating wine cellars in Europe, the 20 m deep (5 floors deep) wine cellar of Benjamin Zidarich, one of the greatest masters of maceration and great autochtone wines. After the about 2 hours long visit in his wine cellar we will enjoy a nice dinner on his wonderful terrace with the view on the entire golf of Trieste.

Saturday 11th of September: GORIŠKA BRDA – EDI SIMČIČ & Co.
On Saturday, the 11th of September we will spend an entire day discovering the true soul of Goriška brda. The trip will include a visit to a gallery with ceramic art in a house of a typical architecture of the territory where we will have also brunch with local specialities. After that we will discover (with a professional guide) the secrets of the territory and will have a tasting of the olive oils of the zone. The day will reach its highlight with the visit of the wine cellar of Edi and Aleks Simčič and then a wonderful dinner at the terrace of the villa Alma Vista: http://carpediemclub.wordpress.com/2010/07/16/alma-vista/
The price 85 eur per person includes brunch, all the visits, guide, tasting of the olive oils, dinner at Alma Vista, visit to wine cellar and all the wines.
