Join us at our wonderful journey to Goriška brda and to the Edi Simčič winery


On Saturday, the 11th of September we will spend an entire day discovering the true soul of Goriška brda. We all know that the enogastronomy is a product of people, earth, the culture of the territory so with our trip we want to make you understand and feel all together.

Meeting point: at 12h at Vila Alma Vista, Vipolže

Program:

The trip will take us to Krmin and the mountain Krmin with a wonderful view on Brda, Alps, Vipava valley and Friuli,

then to Breg where we will visit  the Ivan Skubin gallery with ceramic art in a house of a typical architecture of the territory where we will have also brunch with local specialities.

We will visit also Gradna with the curch of St. George, with art works of famous Slovenian painters Zoran Mušič and Lojze Spacal.

On the way back we will stop at the oldest olive grove in Brda and tasting of their olive oils.

At the end we will visit also the medieval village Šmartno. A walk through the straight streets »gase« in visit of the wonderfu church st. Martin.

Visit to the ethnological museum Briška hiša (typical house of the region) and the House of culture.

The day will reach its highlight with the visit of the wine cellar of Edi and Aleks Simčič and then a wonderful dinner at the terrace of the villa Alma Vista: https://carpediemclub.wordpress.com/2010/07/16/alma-vista/

Scampi from Kvarner, with olive oil, fleur de sel and cuttlefish candies

„Labello from passionfruit“

Mediteranean sashimi with gelatin from olive oil, vanilla and pink grapefruit

Crude scallop

Grilled scallop with black truffle from Istria and black polenta cooked in cuttlefish soup

Pumpkin cake with cheese fondue and foam of the fresh cheese

Smoked tongue of a young pork with horseradish sauce and sweet apples

Dessert

Price 85 eur per person includes:

brunch,

all the visits,

guide,

tasting of the olive oils,

dinner at Alma Vista,

visit to wine cellar and all the wines.
