History repeats and boy, aren’t we glad that it does when it’s something as exciting as this. Following the success of “Once in a Lifetime” series, which launched with the Coco Chanel Suite at the Ritz Paris, a few months ago, The Leading Hotels of the World has unveiled its second “Once in a Lifetime” experience for the year. This time the hotel of choice is the Ritz London. For those who win, the three night stay includes trips to Bond Street, Jermyn Street, Saville Row, Mount Street and Mayfair via one of the Ritz’s chauffeur driven Rolls Royce Phantoms. A day’s sightseeing with a private guide to The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, The Palace of Westminster and Kensington Palace.

An individual menu consultation with the hotel’s Executive Chef and Head Sommelier is the prelude to a six-course tasting menu paired with wine. This is followed by dinner at Heston Blumenthal’s three Michelin starred ‘Fat Duck at Bray’ restaurant.

Not to stop at this, the stay ensures that you will sleep in a Royal Suite with 24-hour butler service and receive tickets to a West End performance, VIP membership to The Ritz Club and Casino, a private visit to The Rolls Royce workshop and tea tasting at the 300-year old Fortnum and Mason store. Wait there’s more: optional extras extend to a Berry Bros and Rudd private tasting, VIP tickets to a Premier League Football Match, a round of golf at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey, a private audience with a British Designer and VIP access to Mahiki and Chinawhite.

Ah, the perks of a fine life. The only query is how to win it? Lady luck, are you listening?
