Absolut Art Collection Tours Asia-Pacific
Ever since it was first bottled, ABSOLUT VODKA has been driven by creativity. Since 1985, Andy Warhol, the well-known Pop Art master, has been enchanted by the artistic aesthetic of Absolut bottle and fruited in the creation of Absolut Warhol which marks start of ABSOLUT VODKA’s creation journey. Today, the Absolut Art Collection compromises over 800 pieces of artwork made by over 400 artists. From the beginning of 2011, ABSOLUT VODKA, the world’s leading premium vodka from Sweden, tours 19 most renowned pieces of original artwork from the Absolut Art Collection across the Asia-Pacific region for 7 month.
This exhibition showcases 19 pieces of original artwork across a variety of mediums; from canvas, plexiglas and tin, to photography and paper, which includes works by Andy Warhol, Francesco Clemente, Louise Bourgeois, Rosemarie Trockel, Béatrice Cussol and Jan Saudek, etc. The two classic works Absolut Warhol 1985 and Absolut Bourgeois 2003 from eminent artists Andy Warhol and Louise Bourgeois are the shining pieces in the Absolut Art Tour 2011.
