Photo Gallery: #Winelover’s hangout in Ljubljana

Restaurant JB was location of our pleasant dinner

On 4th of October we have organised in Ljubljana a #winelover hangout.

For the international group of guests coming from (USA, England, Scotland, Italy, Austria and Slovenia) we have organised a very special evening with the best chef in Ljubljana, Janez Bratovž in his restaurant Restavracija JB and with three winemakers, all of them traditional biodynamic winemakers from three terroirs:

Vasja Čotar (Karst), Miha Batič (Vipava valley) and Aleks Klinec (Goriška brda).

The evening has started in the garden with the sparkling wines of the Čotar winery. On the photo Vasja Čotar with his partner Andreja

As orgaiser I was welcoming our guests and have proudly presented the winemakers, the chef and Luiz Alberto, the founder of #Winelover

Chef Janez Bratovž has presented his cuisine of the evening …

Rebula was served to Octopus with vegetable and fish cream and balsamic vinegar, onion cooked in dashy soup, cuttlefish meringue and herb jelly

Vitovska by Čotar

Vitovska was served to Veal Tripe with porcini mushrooms, wrapped in pork blanket, bean sauce, veal gravy, cooked cream and roasted fresh fig

Gardelin by Klinec

Gardelin was served to Hokkaido pumpkin ravioli with bitter almonds, green stalk celery sauce, tonka, parmesan cheese and milky brown butter

Angel by Batič

Angel (blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot) was served to Lamb in coriander sauce with mashed kohlrabi, potatoes, cracknels and fresh vegetables

Valentin by Batič

Valentin was a perfect combination to Sweet pocket with almonds and dried fruit, sauce of black tea

After the wonderful dinner followed after-dinner at Movia winebar where Movia offered to all guests the great Puro sparkling wine and Veliko belo (Great White). Perfect finish!

I would like to thank yo all who contributed that the evening was so pleasant and tasty.
