Golden Stars and Golden Crowns for Slovenian wines in Italian wine guide Vini Buoni D’Italia
For the first time Slovenian wines of Primorska region (so Istria, Karst, Vipava and Brda – regions which are bordering with Italy) will be included into Italian wine guide Vini buoni d’Italia (Touring Club).
Slovenian wines got excellent votes – many of them received 4 stars, 12 wines instead went even to finale for the Golden Crowns (the highest award) and Golden Stars (the second highest award). Tonight results were revealed in Buttrio, location close to Udine.

Congratulations from all the heart to all Slovenian winemakers!
Explanation: This selection was not made on the base of all Slovenian wines but only of 20 wineries which decided to participate at the tasting for the famous Italian wine guide. Vini buoni d’Italia is focused only on autochtone varieties so another rule: the only wines that were tasted were the autochtone varieties of the regions.
